Year-End Payroll Information
In Thailand, year-end payroll processes involve several important tasks to ensure compliance and provide employees with necessary documentation. Key components include the Withholding Tax Certificate (BIS 50), which is an annual certificate issued to each employee summarizing their total earnings, the amount of withholding tax deducted, Social Security Fund contributions, and any Provident Fund contributions. Employees require this certificate to accurately file their individual income tax returns. Employers are also required to prepare and submit annual contributions to the Social Fund Office for Workmen’s Compensation (KT26, 20, 25). Furthermore, an annual summary of employee and director withholding tax deductions, known as the PND 1kor, must be prepared and submitted to the Revenue Department.
